Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated: September 14, 2026 · Governing law: New Mexico, United States
This policy covers the subscription you buy from Horizon International LLC for Onyx Checkout. It does not cover what your buyers pay you — refunds to them are yours to decide and are issued through your own payments account.
1.What you are buying
A monthly subscription, per store, that lets that store’s checkout take live payments. Setting everything up — the editor, the Shopify connection, your own domain and a real preview — is free and requires no card. You only pay to switch the checkout on.
2.Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time, from the Billing page or by writing to us.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your checkout keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is then switched off.
- Nothing is deleted when a plan ends: design, domain, offers, pixels and orders stay where they are, so restarting is one click.
- Each store is cancelled separately, because each store has its own plan.
3.Refunds
Subscription periods already started are not refunded pro rata. You keep the service until the end of the period you paid for.
We do refund, in full and without argument, in these cases:
- A duplicate or wrong charge. Two charges for the same store and period, or a charge after you cancelled.
- A charge on a store you never switched on. If the plan started but the checkout was never made live, write to us within 14 days and we return it.
- A fault on our side that left the checkout unusable for a significant part of the period, and that we could not fix after you reported it.
Requests go to support@onyxcheckout.com with the store name and the charge date. We answer within one business day and pay approved refunds back to the original payment method within 10 business days.
What we do not refund
4.If a renewal payment fails
We retry it. While it is being retried your checkout keeps taking orders — we are not going to stop a store from selling over a card that expired on a Friday. If the payment keeps failing, the store is paused: the configuration is kept and the checkout stops taking orders until the plan is reactivated.
5.Consumers in the EU and UK
If you buy as a consumer rather than as a business, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. By switching your checkout live during that period you ask us to start the service immediately and accept that the right of withdrawal ends once the service has been fully provided for that period. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived by contract.
6.Your buyers’ refunds
Refunds to the people who buy from your store are a different thing entirely. You issue them from your own payments account, under your own refund policy, which you are required to publish on your store. We provide the tools to issue them; the decision and the money are yours.
7.Changes
If this policy changes we will tell you by email or in the product at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The version in force when you were charged is the one that applies to that charge.
